This is one of those loud singing of praises that you almost want to keep to yourself because you know it'll just bring in more sibling rivalry type competition. But being (mostly...no one's perfect) a good collaborative sibling I will go with my mature and generous spirit. I'll save the regression for my actual sibs. ;) Today I had the pleasure of picking up my essentially-antique car from Dana Meyer Auto after having connected with them for the first time. I think they're fantastic. I've been to a lot of mechanics, being obsessed with older cars, and I know how hard it is to find a shop that is welcoming enough of the complexities of not just older cars but older car owners. Everyone I interacted with at this shop demonstrated a sincere openness and patience and excellence of service in regard to my aging mechanically challenged special-needs vehicle. Vehicle failed smog tests. They understood and explained plausible cause of failure based on code produced at smog testing station. Received a prompt appointment and cleared up the problem within a day. Very nice and knowledgeable staff.
