I've been driving for 46 years. That's about a dozen cars and at least that many mechanics, in two different countries. It would have been perfectly routine for any other mechanic to schedule an appointment for another day, order a new part, profit from the margin, and charge for a couple of hours' work removing the old one and installing the new one. (That's what most garages would do -- even the reputable ones.) Instead, Dana's team was able to accommodate me immediately while I waited, straightened and remounted the existing undercover, and only charged me for a couple of cotter pins and a half-hour's work.
